How To Set Up Your Coaching Profile On KudosCourts
A coach guide to setting up your profile on KudosCourts, from the setup wizard through sports coverage, schedule, pricing, credentials, payment methods, and session handling.
Direct answer
After creating your coach account, the setup wizard walks you through your profile, sports and coverage, schedule and pricing, photos and credentials, and payment methods. This guide covers each step so you can get from zero to accepting session requests with confidence.
Create your profile and coaching location
After signing in as a coach, the setup wizard starts with your profile. Fill in your display name, a one-line tagline that tells players what you coach and why, and a longer bio that covers your background and approach.
Next you set your coaching location by selecting a province and city. This is how players find you on location-filtered discovery pages. The wizard also has optional fields for a phone number, Facebook, Instagram, and website URL so players have more ways to reach you.
Think of the profile step as the first impression players get on your public listing. A complete profile with a clear tagline and honest bio stands out more than a name alone.
What you will see
Tip: Write the tagline like a headline: short, specific, and focused on the player benefit. 'Badminton singles coach in Makati — beginner to competitive' works better than 'Experienced coach'.
Add your sports and coaching coverage
The sports step defines what you coach and who you serve. Start by selecting one or more sports from the catalog, then choose the session types you offer: Private (1-on-1), Semi-private (2-4 players), or Group (5+ players).
Once sports and session types are set, a combinations grid appears so you can uncheck specific pairings you do not offer. That keeps your listing accurate without forcing an all-or-nothing choice.
What you will see
Set skill levels and age groups
Optionally select the skill levels you coach — Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, or Competitive — and the age groups you work with — Kids, Teens, Adults, or Seniors. These appear as badges on your public profile and help players decide whether you match their needs.
Leaving them unset does not block the wizard. Add them when you are ready to make your listing more specific.
Add your specialties
Specialties are free-text focus areas like 'Singles strategy', 'Footwork drills', or 'Tournament prep'. Add as many as you want — they show up as badges on your profile and help players understand your coaching style.
Specialties are different from sports. A sport says what you coach; a specialty says how you approach it.
Tip: Use specific, player-facing language for specialties. 'Serve and return patterns' tells the player more than 'Advanced techniques'.
Set your schedule and pricing
The schedule editor lets you define available hours and hourly rates for each day of the week. Expand a day, add one or more time blocks, toggle each block open or closed, and set the PHP rate — all from one screen.
You can set different rates for different time windows. For example, weekday mornings at one rate and evenings at a higher rate. The editor validates as you go — overlapping blocks and invalid time ranges are flagged before you save.

Saturday
You can return to the Schedule page anytime after the wizard to update hours, rates, and add-ons.
Use scope overrides for sport-specific pricing
If you coach multiple sports or session types at different rates, the schedule supports scope overrides. A base schedule applies to all offerings, and per-sport or per-session-type overrides let you adjust hours and pricing without duplicating the whole schedule.
Start with the base schedule first, then add overrides only where rates actually differ.
Add session extras and add-ons
Add-ons are extras players can include with their session — like equipment rental or court booking fees. Each add-on has a label, can be optional or auto-applied, and supports either hourly or flat pricing.
For hourly add-ons, you define schedule rules with day selections and time windows. Flat add-ons have a single fee regardless of session length.
Tip: Start with one or two simple add-ons and expand later. Equipment rental and court fees are common starting points for coaches.
Upload photos and credentials
OptionalPhotos and certifications build trust with players before they book. Upload coaching photos — action shots, venue photos, or profile images — that give players a sense of who you are and how you work.
Certifications let you list formal qualifications with the name, issuing body, and level. Once you add at least one certification, you can submit a verification request for admin review.

Philippine Sports Commission
Tip: Coaches with photos and at least one verified certification get a trust badge on their public profile. That badge matters in competitive city searches.
This step is optional. Skipping it does not block your listing. You can add photos and credentials later from the Profile page.
Add payment methods so players can pay you
Add your mobile wallets and bank accounts so players know where to send payment after you accept their session request. KudosCourts supports GCash, Maya, BPI, BDO, Metrobank, UnionBank, and more.
Each payment method has a type, provider, account name, and account number. You can also add optional instructions shown to players — like including the reservation ID in the payment note. Toggle methods active or inactive without deleting them, and mark one as the default.
At least one payment method is required to complete the setup wizard. Players see your active methods when the session is accepted and payment is due.
What you will see
GCash
Maria Santos — 0917 *** 4567
BPI
Maria Santos — **** 8901
Tip: GCash and Maya are the most common payment methods players expect in the Philippines. Start with one and add more as needed.
Handle session requests and go live
When a player sends a session request, you receive a notification with the booking details: sport, session type, date, time, duration, and total amount. Review the request and accept or reject it from your dashboard.
Accepted sessions move the player into a payment window. Once they mark payment, you confirm it from the reservation detail page and the session is confirmed on both sides.
The Reservations page gives you filter tabs for quick triage: Needs Action for new requests and payment confirmations, Awaiting Payment for accepted sessions, Confirmed for upcoming sessions, and Past for completed or cancelled ones.
What you will see
Tip: Respond to session requests quickly. The booking policy in your Settings page controls the review timeout — if the window expires before you act, the request auto-expires and the slot reopens.
Once you are comfortable with the workflow, your profile is effectively live. Players discover you on city and sport pages, request sessions, and you manage everything from the coach dashboard.
Configure your booking policy
The Settings page lets you control three timing windows: how long you have to accept or reject a request, how long the player has to pay after acceptance, and the cancellation cutoff before a session starts.
These defaults ship at 45 minutes for review and payment, with no cancellation cutoff. Adjust them based on how you run your coaching practice.
Use the dashboard to manage your practice
The coach dashboard shows pending session counts, today's schedule, recent activity, and KPI cards for pending sessions, today's sessions, and monthly revenue. A session alerts panel surfaces new requests and payment confirmations in real time.
The analytics section tracks revenue trends, sessions by type, completion rates, and operational metrics like median response time and cancellation rate. Use it to understand how your coaching practice is performing over time.
